June 30th, 2010

What a big day!

This is what I read when I woke up:

Pretty cool, huh?

Here we are... in all our glory!
We're both totally -8 months- pregnant in this picture.
We've been calling ourselves "womb mates" over the last several months... which still sounds kind of gross to me.
Sharing this pregnancy with my best friend has been a real blessing.
All the joys, aches, & emotions- we could write a pretty funny book.

Anyway, obviously, she beat me to the punch today.

Meet little Logan!

I can't wait to meet him in person and introduce him to his new buddy, Rhett.

This is also a big day because of this chick!
Meet my youngest sister, Mandy.
She was also born today.
"Mandy Lou" is a pretty fabulous!
I talk to her almost everyday and I tell her everything.
I hope she is having a great time at her birthday party right now & it goes without saying that I wish I could be there celebrating.

Happy Day Mandy Lou!!!

39 Weeks!

Week 39 is a week of "realizations."
Reality has hit me!
1st, the milk will still be here when Rhett comes home!
We're due on July 4th- that's 7 days from today.

I have officially hit "watermelon" status!

From Dome to Rump, Dr. Lackore (my wonderful OB), predicts that Rhett is 7 pounds already. His heart stays in the 150 range and he kicks the nurse when she tries to listen.
Rhett's totally diggin' cool aide, cold, sweet watermelon, and full body stretches that contort his Mommy!
Week 39 is so good- so far!
And... Duke... sweet little Duke is also realizing some things.
Although he loves to dig his head into the plush nursery rug, he approaches that room slowly, with caution.
He's also doing a lot of this...
Staring off into the sunset!

Yardsale Extravaganza!!!

Neighbors + Junk + Lemonade = Awesome Day!!!
We had a wonderful "marathon" day under the water oak.
Together w/3 families we peddled our junk in the driveway for 7 hrs.
In the end, D and I made $130-ish bucks.
I got rid of the ugliest lamp in the world for $10 and thing of "new" prunes out of my pantry for $1.

U-G-L-Y!
My lamp tag simply said "make an offer." When the woman offered 10 bucks I almost peed in my pants! She ended up leaving the shade though. haha!

The Lemonade stand stole the show!
My little neighbor friends sold Lemonade, Ice Tea, and Homemade Cookies for $.25 each.
They even had "repeat" customers...

Swiss Chard = Full Term! & Our Predictions

Full Term, Baby!
Yipp-a-de-do-da all the day!
I recieved this glorious email on Friday- check out the stats on our swiss chard sized kido!

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb.
Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds (wozers!) and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.
Here's our Rhett predictions:
