Daddy’s Diaper Bag
This is one of those sweet things I don't want to forget. I always smile
when unpacking a diaper bag that Dennis packed. Good Stuff!!!
I love my Daddy!

Madness! This kid is everywhere. My camera won’t even focus on this dude.
We have a full fledged crawling maniac!
I’m having to cage this wild man to get stuff done. He started crawling during the second week in March & hasn’t stopped. We’re not sure which day exactly but we did see him go halfway across the room while we where eating dinner on the sofa. Great Moment!
He also starting pulling up last week. I walked into his room one night and there he was proud, smiling, and chomping on the side of the crib.
Everything is a fun adventure now!
We also put him in his big boy car seat on Friday 3/25 & he loves it! I went with the Britax Boulevard #1 because it’s one of the safest and #2 because it has side cushions and his head won’t flop while napping. (nice suggestion CLQ) The firemen at the Bayside station were kind enough to tighten and inspect it for me. That’s a neat service they provide. It gave me peace of mind!
I love the cowmooflage! Makes me happy when I look in the rear view mirror- Mrs. Jacqueline also has a cow in her car. Dennis wouldn’t do it- his is blue.
“Driftwood” shingles- check!
a very Coastal blue color- check!
2 “extra custom” side doors- check!
3 really tired men- check! check! check!
I’ve moved on to thinking about the inside now. Here are a few ideas from good ol’Martha Stewart:
Thanks Martha Stewart! Please don’t sue me! I love your stuff at K-Mart & Macy’s.
I know this looks like the aftermath of a massive tornado but it’s not. It’s progress people! We, as in our sweet neighbors (to whom we cannot repay) + family + friends, are building a
SHED.
This is the backyard today:
It still looks pretty junked out but notice that cute little cottage in the back. This means we’re well on our way to massive storage, organization galore, and outdoor outlets to power a killer backyard birthday party!
Right Rhett?!
Right, mmm…mmmm…mmm!
(that’s how he says my name these days- it’s real sweet & I notice it everytime)
We sure are lucky.
8 mths & 1 week
Things to remember:
He started crawling & pulling up on the side of his crib this week.
Loves Green Beans, Cereal, Mommy, & Daddy!
Doesn’t like to sleep in his own bed. We’re training him & it’s rough.
Likes to go outside and look out the window
Let’s Duke kiss him all over all the time
Blows raspberries all the time
Still digs his jumper- loves it when we watch him jump real high.
GREAT Granny Hazel is here from Oklahoma and Rhett’s “Sug” (my mom- that’s short for sugar) is here from Alabama. Rhett soaking it all in- the toys, the attention, the “crawling lessons.”
Granny Hazel brought OU gifts!
Lots going on in the kitchen tonight: Kenny Chesney is playing, blenders going, Rhett’s in the johnny-jumper, recipes, wine… it’s all really good stuff!
Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet Peas, and ……
Granny Hazel’s No Bake Oatmeal Cookies! YUM!
Oh, and Mom/Sug brought all of Rhett’s Christmas toys with her!
