See ya September!

Day 17 and looking good!
We had Carly's second wellness baby/weight check last Wednesday and she's almost back to birth weight. She weighed 7lbs5oz at birth but dropped to 6lb12oz to go home... She now a whopping 7lbs3oz!!! It's a such a change to have this petite little girl. Rhett grew out of newborn clothes before we brought him home!

Rhett is getting better at sharing life with a little sister! He still claims to be the only one allowed to cry! He stuffs Carly with her pacifier when she cries.

Us? Well, nights are rough but we're very happy and blessed. So blessed!

Day 11

Daddy is working from home this week! Its giving us time to enjoy family as four life.

Today we got out with Dennis's parents for lunch at The Leaping Lizard. Yum! They came by to 'just help out' but we were able to get out and have fun! I needed to get out!

Day 9

Our family made it through the first out to eat experience today! Yay! Of course it was picnic style, but I felt a sense of accomplishment...plus, their were no major melt downs! That never happens.

Oh and I love that when i look back- my vehicle is full now! I mean really... Kids are amazing!

Sweeter than Pie!

She's a week old!

We are getting use to the new 'Knox Normal' and it's better than we could imagine. (a lot crazy but better) If love you could measure LOVE it would be by adding another family member! There is nothing like it!

Night 2

Was waaaay better! She's still won't nurse and prefers a certain pacifier and bottle. I've decided she looks like Laura, is famous and small like Amber, and has Mandy's attitude! All good stuff!!!

There's a First time for everything..

First Bottle....Check!
First Shoes....Check!
First time meeting Sug....Check!

First Night at Home.... WILD!
Oh man! Carly is a whole different baby without a staff of twenty nurses, painkillers, and mommy naps! The learning curve on a newborn is surprising me AGAIN! She's not interested in nursing right now and I've just about decided that she thinks it's not fast enough and requires effort...so after a 6hour stand off we broke out the pump and bottle. Just when you think you've licked the nursing dance- Wham!

Hopefully well get better at it today and the tears will dry up! Both of ours!

Rhett is doing okay- he's definitely feeling the change. We're really trying to include him with big brother jobs. Dennis and Rhett are also doing special things like cutting the grass and fixing random things. He's becoming a good big bro! I'm proud of him!

We're going home!

Rhett says he's taking her for a ride on his truck when we get home today! Yikes! Carly is going to get tough quick.

We should be discharged after lunch. I must say that this hospital experience was pretty great. My nurses were all kind, special people. I opted to stay for 3 nights to recover and it was a good idea. I feel rested and all caught up on snuggle time with Carly Rose! Here we go... Life with a newborn and a 2 year old!

Carly Rose-Nose Day 3

We snuggled all day long! Dennis had a boys day with Rhett while we recovered at the hospital. It was all about snuggling and napping! Awesome Days all around!
